Mindful Body method has grown over the years to better include all people in different life situations and physiological and psychological states, because everyone should be able to attend the classes. The two modifications we have developed are:

- Chair
The Mindful Body Strength classes derive directly from the 12 Master Classes according to the physiological theme. The Mindful Body Strength classes are done either with your own body weight or with light weights, and the classes work according to the participants own pace to create an individual workout, even in a group setting. The classes work to improve the core strength through mobility, balance, coordination and dynamic exercises. The aim is to increase the blood flow and the metabolism in the body and aid in building a strong, well-balanced body. The more the participants mobility increases, the harder the classes become, as one needs to use more strength to create controlled movements in positions that require more balance. The Mindful Body Strength classes work on the body according to 12 themes:
- Arm & Neck – position of the head, mobility of neck, biceps, triceps
- Upper Back – support of the shoulder, latissimus dorsi, trapezius
- Chest – rotation of the spine, pectoral muscle group, abdominals, upper back
- Shoulders – rotation of the shoulder joint, support of the shoulder, abdominals
- Lower Back & Glutes – back extensors, glutes, bending/extending of the spine, hips
- Sides – lateral movement of spine, lateral muscles, abductors, adductors, abdominals
- Abdomen – abdominal muscle groups, lower back, lateral muscles
- Hips – rotation of the hip joint, abductors, adductors, glutes
- Glutes – gluteus muscle groups, hamstrings, rotation of the hip inward and outward
- Thighs – lifting of legs, extending and bending of knee, quadriceps, hamstring
- Spine – rotation, bending, extending and lateral movement of the spine
- Ankle & Calf – balance, calves, muscles of the foot, ankles, position of feet
The Mindful Body Chair classes are designed so, that the participant can do all the exercises either standing up, sitting on a chair or on the ground. There are 4 different master classes each with their own unique design and psychological theme. The psychological themes are designed especially to help overcome obstacles, to help believe in the future, to dare to take leaps and to grow as a healthy individual, as a human. The 4 Mindful Body Chair classes are:
- Arm & Neck / Dream
- Upper Back & Neck / Dare
- Chest / Believe
- Lower Back / Grow
The chair provides an additional element for many exercises and can help increase range of motion and challenge especially the core muscles for anyone, including athletes. The chair can also provide support for those who need it or who cannot stand for long periods of time, or who find it difficult to lay down on the ground and get up. That is why Mindful Body Chair classes are suitable for anyone:
- for Athletes to be done as pre-training or pre-competition exercises
- for the Disabled, who also have a chance in doing some of the exercises on the ground, in order to encourage getting in and out of the chair independently
- for Seniors in order to increase range of motion and balance, but without having to worry about balance or high-blood pressure
- for Office Workers, in order to receive a break from work and to prevent neck and back problems from developing or aid in the recovery from such conditions
Mindful Body Chair classes are designed to last between 15 to 30 minutes, making them ideal for many people in many different situations!
